Governors
What do Governors do?
There are two main responsibilities on which governors in a College such as KEVICC have to focus:
- To ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
- To hold the Principal to account for the educational performance of the College and its pupils
This means that governors must have an overview of what goes on in the College, and make sure that our values underpin our decision-making and strategic thinking. Governors monitor and measure school progress through meetings, data, stakeholder voice and school visits.
Governors must not be involved in the day to day running of the College.
